The Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation's mission includes empowering nonprofits.
We empower local nonprofits in the following ways:
SCAF is implementing a fee structure in 2026 to ensure that we can continue to provide services to our community. Nonprofits wanting to utilize our services should consider a money-saving membership.
SCAF has the ability to provide a wide range of services to start-up organizations and non-501(c)(3) orgs applying for grant funding
SCAF has several grant cycles available for Stanwood-Camano nonprofits and public agencies
Grant Searches
SCAF can assist in searching for specific grant needs on behalf of our Nonprofit Members. We also forward on any potential grant opportunities that we become aware of.
Matching Volunteers with Board Service
We meet with potential volunteers and direct them to the organization that best fits their passion and experience.
Monthly Nonprofit Newsletter
SCAF's monthly newsletter, just for local nonprofits. Find out what's happening, learn about resources, and explore the topic of the month.
One-on-one Nonprofit Mentoring
Communities are better when their nonprofits thrive. We can help problem-solve, strategic plan, and provide general guidance for Boards and Executive Directors
Readerboard/Meeting Room Reservations
We have 2 different meeting rooms and a readerboard next to HWY 532, available for use by nonprofit orgs.
