The intent of this workshop is to provide an overview of some of the best ways to manage the employee processes and issues in recruiting, onboarding, retention, and separation (the employee lifecycle). We will also cover some of the necessary HR compliance issues many of you may encounter and need to manage. This session will cover a broad range of topics at a high level, yet we can and will dive as deep into topics as participants desire.

We welcome and encourage an interactive session; bring lots of questions and situations you would like to discuss. Ideally in the session we will all learn from each other how best to manage your employees through the lifecycle of their time with your organizations.

Steve Brown is an HR consultant, currently with a Seattle based HR consulting firm called Reverb. He has 30 years of experience covering many different industries, working with over 50 different organizations, and in roles ranging from Benefits Analyst (his first HR position with Nordstrom many years ago) to Vice President and Chief HR Officer positions with small to very large organizations. His most recent clients in the non-profit space include the Ballard Food Bank, Northwest School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children, Plymouth Housing, National CASA, HematoLogics, The Northwest Network, Casey Family Programs, Comagine Health, and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
