Start Time: 9:00am

We all know that we need to create a succession plan, but aren't sure the steps to take. Upon completion of this workshop participants will:

  • Understand the essential elements and steps to take to complete a succession plan for their board
  • Have completed a risk assessment that identified key roles within their organization and identified steps to designate back-up staff for each role
  • Have identified essential information, data and security password management for ensuring nonprofit operations continue upon departure of a key person.
  • Leave with a complete action plan for implementing a succession plan for their nonprofit

Prework: Participants will receive prework to complete at least 1 week prior to the workshop. Prework will take no more than 30 minutes to complete and will include a board composition analysis, short articles and videos on best practice steps for effective succession planning.Lisa Edward, Ed.D. brings more than 20 years of experience leading nonprofit and government organizations to her work with nonprofit leaders.
