Capital Grants

SCAF believes that strategic investments in capital projects are a benefit to the community as a whole, and align with our mission in multiple ways.

Timeline
Letters of Interest for Capital Grants are accepted year-round.
Step 1
Provide a Letter of Interest to Natalie Hagglund.
Letters of Interest are taken into consideration at Board Meetings, held on the 2nd Tuesday of the Month.
Step 2
Invitations to attend a board meeting to answer questions about the grant request will be extended 1-2 months after the initial LOI review.
Step 3
Grant notification will be made up to one month after board meeting attendance.
Eligibility Requirements
Organizations requesting capital funding must be housed within the boundaries of the Stanwood-Camano School District.
Available Funds
Capital grant funding requests of $5,000 - $100,000 will be considered.

Application Process

Your Letter of Interest (LOI) should be written to the SCAF Board of Trustees and be no more than three pages. It should include the following:
  1. Description and timeline of the project.
  2. Purpose of the project, including benefit to the community.
  3. Project budget, including all costs and any funds pledged, pending, or secured.
  4. Strategic statement for how the project will be supported moving forward (maintenance, utilities, etc.)
  5. Expected results of the capital investment (e.g., increased capacity, improved service quality, costs savings.)
Submit your LOI to Natalie Hagglund, Executive Director.
Attend a Board Meeting to answer questions and/or provide additional info.
