Who decides scholarship winners?
Recipients are selected through a multi-step process which includes recommendations from sponsors and SCAF committees. The final list is approved by the SCAF Board of Trustees.
I’m transferring schools. Do I need to notify anyone?
Yes, contact SCAF so funds can be transferred or held appropriately. If SCAF has not received your returned funds, you may need to contact your school and request them to be sent.
My recommender emailed me a letter. Is that okay?
No, only blind recommendations submitted through the application are accepted. Keep the letter though, you may be able to utilize it for other scholarship application processes.
I missed the deadline for claim info. Did I lose my scholarship?
Respond immediately to any notice from SCAF. Delays may result in rescinded funds.
I need help with my application.
